Many Web 2.0 tools allow users to create a piece of media, an animated clip,
a moving image, or even an interface to perform some other function. The
website creates the file and provides you with code that allows you to link your
wiki, blog, facebook, or other media format to the original file. For instance,
embeding youtube code places a copy of the video in your media page, the
file is linked to the source website where the information is actually stored. If
the clip, image, or file doesn't move, then it will not likely have embeding code.
You can find the code anywhere there is a tab named "Embed". Press it and
you will get code to copy and paste. See below for an example from youtube.

In wikis, you copy your code into a widget. Widgets appear in the tool bar when you EDIT a wiki page.

When you select a widget in the tool bar this window opens on your page:

Depending on the type of media you are trying to embed, you will select video, audio, or often, HTML and paste the code into the box. Save the widget, save the page, and your media appears.
